Growth Corridor Finland

Growth Corridor Finland stretches from Helsinki via Hämeenlinna to Tampere region, and it is the core of the Finnish economic growth and competitiveness. This compact area hosts 40% of the country’s jobs, and this is where already about a half of the country’s companies’ revenue is made. The Growth Corridor Finland is a string of cities that form an extension to the metropolitan region.

One of the cornerstones of the Growth Corridor success is flexible and effortless mobility. This is why the HHT Growth Corridor actively takes part in piloting and enabling tests that follow the MaaS-concept.

The Growth Corridor Finland, through a strong and active network, offers private companies and consortia a possibility to scale the first stage of mobility services and to more extensive modelling of the products.

The Growth Corridor network comprises of 18 cities and municipalities, all three Regional Councils of the area, as well as all four Chambers of Commerce. In addition, also the Ministry of Employment and the Economy, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Education and Culture are involved in the network.

The Growth Corridor Finland is, owing to its big transport volumes, its compact population centre structure, its diverse travel chains, its strong main routes and its systematic organisation, acknowledged as the best national test platform when it comes to developing mobility services.
